When it comes to regulations on swimming pools, none are more looked at than commercial swimming pools. With the amount of swimming that occurs in apartment pools, universities, water parks, resorts and city public pools it makes sense that regulations are a lot stronger than a homeowner’s pool. Typically, they are regulated for water hardness (total dissolved solids), cyanuric acid and of course any waterborne diseases to name a few. Depending on where you live, guidelines are in place for changing out the water when total dissolved solids (TDS) and cyanuric acid (CYA) reach a certain level. If and when a waterborne disease is present that could also cause the swimming pool to be closed. If and when any of these occur, the commercial property can be fined if the situation isn’t taken care of. But, instead of draining, Pool Water Recycling wants to make everyone aware of a much better solution that can save commercial swimming pool owners time, money and the needless waste of water especially with our current drought situation in California.

If and when it is time to change out the water in a swimming pool, depending on the size of the swimming pool it can take days or weeks to fully drain and refill a swimming pool. Not to mention, anytime you drain a swimming pool you always run the risk of cracking the foundation of the pool. In the commercial setting, not having an operating swimming pool can cause lost revenue to the property as well as frustrated customers who want to use the swimming pool. That’s why our vision is to make draining a swimming pool the thing of the past. We offer a mobile filtration trailer that comes to you and is equipped with Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration to lower the following issues that require the water to be changed:

  • Calcium hardness
  • TDS
  • CYA
  • Phosphates
  • Salts
  • Waterborne diseases

We physically take water from the swimming pool into our trailer where six sets of RO membranes filter the water in the pool. After the water is filtered, it returns to the swimming pool in drinkable form. Using this form of filtration, we can conserve up to 85% of the existing water in the swimming pool, you are able to swim in the pool while the process is being performed (no downtime) and we give you a better end product than tap water. Most commercial swimming pools inject liquid chlorine, which causes salts and TDS to rise quickly in the swimming pool. With strict guidelines on TDS levels, using our service every year or two or when TDS levels reach the maximum will save you time and money. It will also prevent the needless waste of thousands of gallons of water, which is vital in our conservation efforts.

Please keep in mind that our service is mobile and we come to you. We can filter both residential and commercial swimming pools. Each pool is unique and the time frame to filter it will vary depending on hardness levels and volume.
